Christian Pulisic selling price of £35m mooted, Ziyech sets to stay at Chelsea

In the last summer transfers, Chelsea were willing to offload Christian Pulisic and sell him to another club. Manchester United had interest but only wanted him on a loan deal. The new owners have also had discussions about the player’s stay or departure.

They have consistently been to the various match venues to watch and assess him. The notable one was Chelsea-Tottenham Hotspur.

Reluctantly, the player is not committed to extend his contract with the Blues. He’s also not willing to leave on loan which he sees it as not appealing after trying to convincing the new ownership to let him depart from the club.

Pulisic will cost about £35m, and this may be a fair price considering he is not favored at the club and Potter seems to have trust the youngest to him. However, there will be a discussion about the price of which after the World Cup, it may rise to £40-45 million.

It is clear the player is not happy not giving much time on the pitch by Graham Potter, but he’s very excited with his stay in Chelsea and have no issues with either the coach and his staffs or the club, supporters and/or teammates.

Similarly, Hakim Ziyech is also in the same position and may seek to leave. His last summer transfer to failed to Ajax as agreement between the two clubs failed on the price tag. AC Milan wanted his service but only on a loan deal.

Ziyech is having a fine tournament in Qatar, helping his nation to qualify to the round of 16 stage. Potter may consider keeping him at Cobham due to his incredible performance with the Morocco national team in Qatar. But if he’s to depart, a permanent move is more likely.

Both players fell out with their former coach and they were given limited time to play and even argued that, they were used to play in an out of position which affected their effectiveness on the field. Pulisic knew Tuchel from Dortmund and thought he would have had a best re-union with his former coach which in the end, didn’t work out right for the USA attacker.
