We have looked at most players in the English Premier League who in some point performs well and others so poorly. We have therefore picked few of them.
Soucek
Our first pick is Soucek who plays for West Ham United. He performed so well last season but this season hasn’t been that good for him. His performances are so low and he needs to up his games.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
He plays for Chelsea. Loftus was one of the best break out lad in the 2018/2019 season under Maurizio Sarri. He was part of Sarri’s team who won the UEFA Europa League. He played a major role seeing his team to win that trophy. But Rubens moments have been mixed. There are times, you see a brilliant performance from him. He’s so strong on the ball, dribble past his opponents but isn’t consistent. One good performance from him this season is when Chelsea drew with Tottenham with a 2-2 score line. He also gave a worst performance when they played Brighton and Hove Albion and even scored an own goal and was bad at Fulham too. However, his average performance can be attributed to the injuries he had which has limited his strength and technical skills.
Maupay
Maupay is known to be making good and excellent passes and always get involved in plays. He has had a bad luck in scoring more goals which can be improved. He lacks shooting.
Elneny.
He does nothing to change a game play. But a good player who always fit into the midfield. He loves to keep the ball moving. Very good to rely on because he tries to keep the ball safe. The Egyptian player was once called “The Perfect squad player” by Arsenal fans.
Anthony Gordon
The Everton winger is nominated as an average player here because, it looks like, he’s even not ready for Premier League. His weaknesses overrides his strength in that Everton team. His inability to shoot, pass the ball, or give a cross. He also easily gets booked. Everton turned down a £50m price deal when Chelsea came for him in the summer transfer. He absolutely adds nothing to Lampard’s team.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
If not for injury, it would have been unfair to say Chamberlain is an average player. He was actually a good replacement when Coutinho left Liverpool to Barcelona. Ox has had an injury record which has kept him out from playing for some years now. No doubt, if stays fit, he would have been in the England squad for the World Cup this year.
Christian Pulisic
The American skipper is gradually turning into an average player. He had a limited game time both under Thomas Tuchel and his new manager Graham Potter. It appears, he’s not trusted much by his coach as he sometimes chooses the young lads over Christian. He mostly gets rating 6.5 out of 10 whenever he either starts or comes in as a substitute in a match.
Harry Maguire
I think it will be a bad decision not to include him in this list. He’s turned to be an average center back in the Premier League. He’s although the most expensive defender in the league. He has therefore lost his position to Lisandro Martinez and Rafael Varane. Even with this, he’s still the captain of the Manchester United team but will always see him on the bench. Nevertheless, he’s part of the England World Cup squad list.
Lewis Dunk
We actually don’t know why the big clubs are not going for him. He’s a top notch defender and very brilliant. He has a good positioning and easily win aerial duels. You can never pass him in a one on one situations. He’s chosen to be an average because, he’s got less speed and always fumbles when playing in a high line system of play. This could be the reason why the big 6 clubs are not going for him as they mostly play in a high line. He’s got quiet injuries as well.
